Every generation rewrites history in order to understand itself. With AI arriving and our environments collapsing, the past I need to question is much older than the human one. And it turns out our brains were never the center of intelligence.

I began by tracing how characters, ideas, and technologies traveled through history. Over time, that curiosity expanded from human culture to the evolution of life and intelligence itself. Today I use the same historical imagination to construct possible futures.
