Participatory world-building with AI: an exhibition and two workshops.

Gray Area presented a special program on the new image-making technologies with me as Xenoforms artist in residence. It opened with a talk on the history and the then-current state of generative AI art, and carried on as something to do rather than watch: people wrote prompts, fed them into DALL·E, Stable Diffusion and Midjourney, and the contributions were animated together into one film.

Two prompt-writing workshops ran in the days before it. The evening also held Nevermined’s Arcadia, a collaborative storytelling piece, and The Oracle by Rivka Dette and Gene Kogan.
