Little Martians pop-up
2023 · Re:Gen:Cy, Brooklyn, New York
A solo pop-up and art talk in Brooklyn. The first presentation of a Little Martians interactive AI storytelling experiment: visitors could talk to a character, and the character answered.
The heads were set out under glass domes and brass terrariums on round tables, daylight at first and then blue.
The art talk ran alongside the pop-up, with the interactive experiment projected on the wall: visitors typed their questions and Nebulana, the first Little Martian I made, answered them in her own voice.
Nebulana, in the app made with Gene Kogan, 2023.
Re:Gen:Cy
An event venue and community space in Red Hook, Brooklyn, founded by Ashley Taylor around what they call a regenerative culture: a vision of the earth as sacred. The space runs on renewable energy, with composting, biodegradable products and salvaged furniture, and rentals pay for the regenerative projects it hosts.
