In 2024 six Little Martians met the public as an interactive AI model. You picked a character, a setting and a genre, typed a prompt, and the model answered with an image and a caption in that Martian’s voice. The platform it was made for, kojii.ai, shut down before launch; Eden.art took the model in, and some three hundred images were made there, many by people I had never met. This book is a selection of those moments, each paired with the prompt that summoned it. It was also the experiment that showed me the universe needed a stronger spine, which is how the Codex came to be written.
